These people coordinate and support the International Network Health Policy & Reform at the Bertelsmann Foundation:

Project Manager

In 2010, Marion is in charge of managing the International Network Health Policy & Reform.

Monika Pavenstädt

Project Assistant

Monika Pavenstädt joined the team in March 2009. She is your first contact for all general questions and organizational issues. For the international network, she manages correspondence, publications, conferences, deadlines, and everything related to travel.

Sophia Schlette

Senior Expert Health Policy

Sophia Schlette initiated the project and has been a focal point for the planning and coordination of the International Network Health Policy & Reform since February 2002. Sophia also serves as a Senior Expert Health Policy for the foundation.


Currently, she is on a sabbatical with Kaiser Permanente's Institute for Health Policy in the U.S.




Kerstin Blum

Project Manager

Kerstin Blum has been with the network team since 2006. Coming from a background in communication and political management, she had been working for a member of the German parliament before joining the Bertelsmann Stiftung. She is responsible for the network's publications and communication, strategies of knowledge transfer between science and politics, and writing reports on German health policy developments.

Currently, Kerstin is on maternity leave.




Melanie Lisac

Project Manager

Melanie Lisac joined the network team in 2006. She is in charge of the network's partner management, the web site and she coordinates the Health Policy Monitor survey rounds. Melanie is also responsible for writing reports on latest health policy developments in Germany.  

Currently, Melanie is on a one-year maternity leave.
