Israel: Benchmarking for quality improvement and Coordination of care

In spite of being a small country, Israel provides a wide array of illustrative material when it comes to health policy developments that are of interest to all industrialized countries. Numerous of the policy issues which are being debated worldwide as well as possible solutions can be found here. Two of those were presented by the Israeli expert of the International Network Health Policy & Reform on October 24, 2008 in Berlin: The use of benchmarking to improve quality of care and the use of multidisciplinary teams in primary care.

Revital Gross, Senior Researcher and Deputy Director of the Smokler Center for Health Policy Research at the Myers-JDC-Brookdale Institute and Associate Professor at the School of Social Work, Bar Ilan University, presented to an audience of German health policy experts.
